Germán Silva, an Australian based singer, songwriter and artist born in Chile, has established his music career in Australia.
Germán (pronounced Hermaan) has had his share of success as a recognised Latin artist, within the Australian music industry. Having performed
and recorded part of the international anthem for World Youth Day 2008, gave him the opportunity to showcase his voice in front of Pope Benedict and
500,000 people in Sydney. Germán represented the voice of the Spanish speakers from around the world in a major event, with an estimated worldwide
TV audience of 1.5 billion people.
During his career, Germán has worked and shared the stage with highly acclaimed international artist such as Ricky Martin and well-known Australian
artist Guy Sebastian. In 2012 he was the opening act for one of Latin music’s most distinguished singer’s, Juan Luis Guerra. In addition to this he has
performed on television, at prestigious festivals and corporate events including the birthday celebration for accomplished actress Rachel Griffiths.
As a singer-songwriter Germán has recorded and produced and co-produced his own music that have received airplay on radio and TV in many parts of the world. In 2014 his single “I’m Gonna Live” was recorded and produced in Miami, USA , by renowned music producer Rudy Perez. It was written by
Rudy Perez, Jon Secada and Germán Silva. The song has a positive message and encourages people to have a motivational and an uplifting
approach to life. It’s energetic percussive rhythm and modern contemporary sounds make the song radio friendly. The lyrics are in English and a few words and phrases in Spanish, it’s a crossover Spanglish song.
In 2018 Germán was part of an Australian TV show “All Together Now” televised on Chanel 7, he was part of an impressive music judging panel of
100 judges, the show was seen by millions of viewers every Sunday evening.
Following his ventures on the TV screen in 2019 Germán filmed a national TV in his country of birth Chile where the TV ad was televised for many months.
